A few days ago, I went up to Pike Place Market in Seattle for a field trip for a class. While there, we visited the gum wall. I decided to take a few pictures and release them as textures.
It’s been pretty nice out, recently, so I thought I’d take a few photographs of clouds to share the beautiful sky. All photos are 4000 by 3000 pixels, taken by me. Download them separately below or download the zip file here.
So, we’ve had this shed out back for a few years. While it isn’t old in any way, the wooden boards on the outside have taken a slight beating due to the Western Washington weather we normally get. Last week while I was outside I saw the boards and thought, “Why don’t I share these as textures to my readers?” So here they are, at 4000px by 3000px, 11 stocks of weathered wooden boards. Download them separately as you need them or download the zip file here.
In celebration of spring, I have decided to take a few pictures of the most common flower in at least my area: Dandelions. These are different groups of the flowers taken at different angles. All are 4000 pixels wide and 3000 pixels tall. Download them separately as you need them or download the zip file here.
Messing around in Photoshop can create some interesting looking textures. I forget exactly how this texture was created, but it does create a nice lighting effect with some depth.
Seamless Texture: Light Spots
While messing with colors, this eerie look instantly reminded me of a scheme one mght find in a science fiction movie. As usual, this seamless texture can be tiled and is great for backgrounds. Enjoy!
Seamless Texture: SciFi Fiber
This texture came out interestingly. It started out as a texture full of bubbles, but a few manipulations gave a hollow, eerie look to the texture. I hope you can find some use to it.
Seamless Texture: Dark Bubbles
While messing in Photoshop, trying different things for textures, I experimented with a few filters here and there. The end result of this was a fibrous texture made completely from scratch. I really love how this one turned out, mostly due to the detail and depth in it.
Seamless Texture: Dark Fiber
Here’s a nice, clean texture of faint lights blurred diagonally. Pretty subtle, and could work in a web 2.0 design.
Seamless Texture: Dark Lights
Today’s seamless texture is an image of blurred lights in a vertical fashion. Quite simple, but I’m sure there’s a use for it out there somewhere. Could do for a nice website background, I’d think.
