Drive Nice Poster

This was created quite a while ago for a school project. One of our assignments was to produce a video for the school’s annual film festival, either individually or as a group. My group decided to enter a PSA we had created earlier as an entry for a local contest about the dangers of driving while texting. The next assignment was to create individual posters for the video we submitted. This is what I designed.

The background was created using the grunge brushes I created along with a few filters. The title text was edited by using splatter brushes and the wind filter. The phone is my phone, taken by a classmate. The whole thing was put together using Indesign, though for web use, I recreated the image in Photoshop.

Hawk DVD Cover

Our last project in Graphic Design. It was collaborative, I designed the DVD cover and my partner designed the poster. I liked how this turned out. I did many techniques that I had never tried before, such as manipulating the background and using a filter on it. The background was created in Photoshop, the character was created in Illustrator, manipulated in Photoshop, and the text was added in Illustrator.

Smudges Magazine Cover

One of my projects that I’m really proud of is a cover for a magazine in my school. Sadly, mine wasn’t chosen, but the ones that were are both really good. I’m glad for those two people.

Some text is removed though, for privacy reasons.

Fleetwood Mac Mock Poster

In graphic design class, we had to create posters for different concerts. I was assigned Fleetwood Mac Unleashed. Because of the word “unleashed,” I thought that one of my previously created fractals from Apophysis would be a perfect focal. Other than that, everything else was done in Illustrator.

Realist Bumper Sticker

One of my projects for graphic design a few weeks ago was to design a bumper sticker in Illustrator, using a quote of our choice. The quote “Pessimists complain, optimists hope, but realists do something,” stems from a quote I had read sometime before the project. Pessimists complain when the winds change, optimists hope for the winds to change back, and realists adjust the sails. I just modified it to include any type of situation.
